Some sessions just feel like sunshine—and Carly’s was one of them. She’s a Class of 2025 senior from Romeo High School, and we spent the evening exploring the little town she knows and loves. From the rustic charm of Frontier Town to her favorite local hangout spots in downtown Romeo, Michigan, every location had a piece of Carly’s personality woven in.

We kicked off her session at Frontier Town, one of Romeo’s most unique hidden gems. It’s full of cozy wood buildings, charming walkways, and the cutest shops—basically a dream backdrop for senior photos. One of Carly’s favorite places there is Back in My Day, a little record store with so much character. Carly loves music and records, so it felt just right to start there.

The owner was incredibly kind and let us photograph inside—surrounded by records, vintage vibes, and pure Carly energy. Afterwards, we grabbed a few more shots around the rustic wooden storefronts before hopping in the car to head downtown.

Downtown Romeo is where Carly loves to spend time with her friends—and we made sure to include it in her senior story. One of her favorite spots? Mains Treat Coffeehouse. We stopped there for a smoothie (spoiler: it was delicious), and I grabbed some fun, relaxed shots while she sipped and laughed. No stiff poses, just real moments.

The downtown area is full of charm—small and big buildings, soft light, and little corners that give off a relaxed, small-town vibe. It was the perfect way to wrap up her session.

Carly wore three outfits during her session, and while they were all beautiful, that third one—a white top with bold circular details—was such a standout. Unique, fresh, and just so her. It popped perfectly against the neutral tones downtown, and I’m still swooning over how the photos turned out.
