Outdoor & Indoor Family
Lifestyle Photography
When people say, “kids grow up so quickly”, they are not kidding, but you do not quite understand it until you become a parent yourself. It seems just like yesterday when your oldest got his first tooth and today he lost that same one. Children grow so quickly and before you know it, they are ready to leave the nest. Therefore, a family photoshoot is such a wonderful way to freeze this moment in life and keep these memories forever. So, which one is right for you? An Outdoor Family Portraits or an Indoor Lifestyle Session? Keep reading below....
Which Session
Is Best For Your Family?
Outdoor Family
Outdoor sessions are great. So many options for locations and great backdrops. Kids will have a lot of room to be free and wild and be a kid. Your gallery will include a variety of posed but even more in the moment shots. One thing that is out of our control is the weather, but no worries, I will have a back-up plan. Living in Michigan, most outdoor sessions are being held late Spring to mid Fall (unless you love snow pics? Iam game!!)
Extended Family sessions are great for outdoor too!! Just invite the whole gang!!
Indoor Lifestyle Family
Indoor Lifestyle Sessions are one of my favorite shoots. Why? I get to come to your home and photograph you and your family in your most comfortable place and truly get to document the season of life you are in. Does your family like to do puzzles, snuggle on the couch with books or do your boys like to wrestle on the bed? Just like any stage... these will go away and without photos, they will fade out of your memory too.
Your gallery will include a lot of in-the-moment pictures as well as a few posed ones. This session is great all year long and especially for kids who tend to be more shy.
The Process
To Book Me....
1. Consultation
During our initial conversation we are going to discuss which session type is best for your family, where to shoot (if outdoor) and on which day.
I am also happy to answer any wardrobe concerns too. :)
2. Sign Contract
& Pay Deposit
You will receive a confirmation email with a summary of our conversation. It will also inlcude your Portrait Agreement & Deposit request (50% of session fee is required to hold your spot). These things are required for booking.
3. Complete Questionnaire
To ensure that I know everything there is to know about your family before we shoot, I will ask you to fill out a questionnaire. That will help me to get an idea who your kids are, what your personal style is and if hubby loves to take pictures.. :)
4. Session Day
A couple days before our set date, I will reach out to confirm our date and also give you any weather updates if needed. And then... we will shoot and have fun... even hubby! Promise!!
